Civ V + 15" MBP 2011 Matte + Wacom Bamboo Fun + Trackpad
Playing Civ V on my Macbook Pro 2011 (specs below) and a wacom bamboo fun. The trackpad is useable in Civ because it's not a twitch based game. However, moving units is a pain in the butt. I don't even need to touch the tablet with the pen when moving around, which save me on buying a new nib aka pen tip. They do wear out after while. The four side buttons are programmable, but I don't use them. The bamboo is really precise and fast when it comes to gaming. The framerate is okay only when you're zoomed in. Zoom out, and you get some jittering. The battery take a huge hit lasting only 1 hour on a full charge. Bring your charger with you. The fans are constantly running, and the Mac gets really hot on the lap. I bought Civ V from steam, but I think the App store will work just fine too. 2011 MBP 15" 2.2 GHz Quad Core 8GB RAM, 1GB graphics card (AMD Radeon HD 6750M graphics processor ), 1680x1050 Hi-Res matte screen, 750GB HDD, running OSX 10.7 Lion.
